Karolina Dean is the fifteen year old daughter of extraterrestrial war criminals. She ran away from home with a group of friends when they discovered their parents were part of a super-villain organization called The Pride. For a short while, Karolina dons the nickname of 'Lucy in the Sky,' her favorite song.

Often called "Kar" or "K" for short, she is known for her free spirit and kind nature. A vegan and peace keeper, she was once arrested for protesting. Blonde and gorgeous, Karolina's sunny disposition and outgoing personality mask her uncertainty and depression. She became engaged to Xavin, a Skrull, but her feelings for Xavin are complicated by her long-standing unrequited love for Nico Minoru.

A Majesdanian, Karolina's natural form is luminous, iridescent, and visually fluid, often depicted with waves of rainbow-like light floating off her body. She is able to take the form of a human Earthling via will or use of special metals. In her Majesdanian form, Karolina is able to manipulate solar energy for various purposes. Her powers have a finite charge; she must re-power by absorbing solar rays.
